Twenty years ago, Mr. Mayani joined Sino Metals and began building his career here. Years later, his daughter, Musonda Mayani, was selected for a scholarship to study in China—an opportunity that changed the course of her life.

Over eight years in China, she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Central South University. She then returned to Zambia, ready to put her knowledge and professional skills to work for her country’s development. Today, she has joined Sino Metals, working alongside her father.

For Mr. Mayani, this is more than seeing his daughter succeed. It is seeing an investment in education bear fruit in the next generation—and come full circle.

For Sino Metals, supporting young Zambians to access education, build professional capabilities and pursue meaningful careers is central to our commitment to local talent development and long-term partnership in Zambia. By investing in the next generation, we aim to strengthen Zambia’s talent base and create lasting social and economic value.

From a father building his career here to a daughter returning home with skills of her own, their story reflects Sino Metals’ commitment to developing local talent and growing together with Zambia.

Opportunity unlocks potential. Talent brings that value home.

This is what it means to grow together.
